Three Kailash

There are three Kailashs according to scripture,

1. the first being Vada Kailai is in the midst of the sea in the north pole not reachable by humans,
2. the second being Madhya Kailai is in Himalayas which many cannot reach and
3. the third being Then Kailai is in this Velliangiri hill near  South

Yam Dwar

Yam Dwar is situated in Tarboche which is approximately 30 minutes drive from Darchen. The exact meaning of the Yam Dwar in Hindi lingo is “the gateway of the God of Death”. It is the initial point of circumambulation of Mount Kailash. Known as Chorten Kang Ngyi which means two legged Stupa in Tibet.
