Mahimna

"Anyone who recites this hymn with a pure heart and devotion will be blessed with 

1. fame (कीर्ति), 
2. wealth (धन), 
3. long life (आयु) and 
4. many children (सुत) in this mortal world, and will attain Kailas (Shiva's abode) after death. 

Benefit of singing Shivmahimna stotra is far greater than either the benefit of 

1. spiritual initiation (दीक्षा), 
2. charity (दान), 
3. austerity (तप), 
4. pilgrimage (तीर्थ), 
5. knowledge of the scriptures (ज्ञान), or 
6. the performance of ceremonial sacrifice (यज्ञ-याग)."
