Velliangiri


.This holy mountain is known as Vellayangiri malai(Mountain of White clouds) in Tamil.Under the foot of this mountain is the 112 ft statue of Adi yogi and Isha Yoga centre.

1.First mountain-Before climbing this mountain,People visit the Lord Ganesh temple present in the foot of first mountain.This mountain consists up of steps made in rocks representing Pranava swaroopam and the Kundalini Shakthi.

2.The second moutain doesn’t contain any steps and only stones in the way of path.While climbing you can witness a cave of Paabati Siddhar(a sage) who had worshipped Muruga.This mountain represents that Swadishtana chakram of our body.

3.The third mountain consits up of slippery rocks on which you have to climb.This mountain represents your Manipooraka Chakram(stomach) of your body.Here also you can find many caves of Sages.

4.The fourth mountain is little more difficult to climb.This mountain represents the Anakada chakram of your body(heart).This mountain consits more of dense tress and broken rocks.There is a place where 5 beds are cut in the rocks.People beleive Pandavas to be stayed here during Vanavasam.

5.The fifth mountain consists only of plants full of slippery mud or clay(very difficult to walk).This mountain represents the Vishudi Chakram of our body(Throat).There are many natural springs in this mountain where you can take bath to wash of your sins.

6.The sixth mountain consists of a type of mud that is white in colour.This sand resembles like Viboothi and can be smeared over the body representing Agneya Chakram of your body(forehead where we keep Viboothi).

7.The 7th mountain where Lord Shiva resides representing all the pancha boothas and Sahasra Chakram.The 7th mountain is very difficult to climb.After climbing you can witness the presence of Lord Shiva here in form of Lingam.Seeing the rise of sun is considered as the blessings of Lord Shiva.

The biggest mystery of this 7th mountain is you can listen the mild sounds of drum and conch.

You can meditate and do yoga here.Climbing this sacred mountain and meditating to activate your Sahasra chakra both are same.
